Brisbane braced for lockdown if more virus cases emerge

South-east Queensland residents remain on edge about the prospect of a snap lockdown later this week after further COVID-19 cases emerged on Wednesday.

Although Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young were confident Queensland could contain the string of new coronavirus clusters, Dr Young warned any further community spread, especially unlinked cases, is expected to result in a lockdown in Brisbane before the end of the week.
