An important US trade post handed to John Barilaro will be left vacant for months after the agency responsible for the post chose to pause a search for a replacement as two separate inquiries probe Mr Barilaro’s appointment.
Investment NSW has put on hold a recruitment process to find a new senior trade and investment commissioner to the Americas, a day after Mr Barilaro withdrew from the position.
