Barilaro quits trade post after week of pain for Perrottet
John Barilaro has withdrawn from a plum US trade position amid a public outcry over the appointment which came after Investment NSW handed, and then rescinded, an offer of the role to a senior public servant.
The former NSW deputy premier was due to fly to New York to take up the position of senior trade and investment commissioner to the Americas on July 12. But on Thursday he decided he will no longer take up the position.
