Listed rail company Aurizon has abandoned its fight against the Queensland Competition Authority's decision limiting how much it can charge customers on its lucrative coal networks.
After protracted legal battles over the past year – with Aurizon fighting the regulator over $1 billion being cut from its revenue, getting in a public spat with big miners and claiming former QCA chairman Roy Green was biased in his decision-making – the company has decided not to appeal the QCA's final determination, released in December.
