The country’s eight most powerful industry super funds have just two women among their top 10 paid executives and only one in a top investment role, despite pressuring the companies they invest in to increase the number of women in their senior ranks.
Executives raked in a collective $29.6 million across the top funds, but women only accounted for 14.8 per cent of this figure. They also only held a quarter of roles and received just 11.5 per cent of the $3.7 million in short-term bonuses paid out, analysis by The Australian Financial Review revealed.
