Australia thought it had COVID-19 covered with an elimination strategy. The lockdowns and panic around the country leave Australia mired in the mess of new virus fears and past vaccine complacency.
What a mess. Australia is reaping the disastrous results of so many months veering between COVID-19 fear and COVID-19 complacency.
With most of the country in lockdown or with borders closed to other states, the claim to be managing the crisis better than others is revealed as another national illusion.
