Australia faces a growing coronavirus crisis as Sydney’s two-week lockdown and a hotel quarantine breach in Brisbane sparked a wave of new restrictions across the country.
Darwin imposed a snap 48-hour lockdown after three cases, believed to be infected with the delta variant, were traced to a Victorian miner who contracted the virus after being forced to spend time in a quarantine hotel in Brisbane.
