Health experts believe coronavirus infections might be beginning to plateau in NSW despite a record case spike on Thursday, after authorities added 12 days’ worth of rapid test results to the system.

Epidemiologists Peter Collignon, of the Australian National University, and Catherine Bennett, of Deakin University, said the data showed some positive signs but there would be better indicators by the end of the next week.
