The NSW government will extend its new mask mandate to all large sporting events, including A-League games, as part of what it calls a "new line of defence" against the spread of the virus.
The new requirements come as the state recorded no new local cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Wednesday and one new case on Thursday morning linked to the northern beaches cluster.
