Teachers are professionals. Like other professionals, they deserve leading-edge research to be a significant component of their degrees. Until now, this has been denied.

Imagine if doctors and nurses were denied the most up-to-date knowledge of medical research. This has been the fate of two generations of Australian teachers: they have been sent into classrooms without the knowledge on how humans learn, how to run their classrooms or how to lead learning.
