EY criticises KPMG's Paladin report

A KPMG assessment used by Home Affairs to select Paladin for a $532 million security contract on Manus Island was unreliable and didn't even check the company's bank statements, according to the department's own audit.

Ernst & Young said the assessment provided by KPMG was problematic because the accounting firm had a business relationship with Paladin, and it was based only on unaudited financial statements.
