Why Australia entering the space race is a necessity

Australia will enter the space race with the establishment of the Australian Space Agency on July 1 – a move built on federal government predictions that space will be a $10-12 billion per year industry by 2030.
It comes as the United States Department of Defence elevates its Space Command to a 'Space Force', an initiative of President Donald Trump that is designed to form a sixth armed force and ensure US military dominance in space.
