Energy security is at stake unless ‘assertive’ action is taken
In the global competition for clean-energy components, Australia is losing out because it lacks a whole-of-country approach.
Energy pundits have urged the government and private sector to take more assertive action to shore up access to critical clean-energy components.
Without it, they warn, the construction of major energy transformation projects could be severely compromised, energy prices will remain high for longer, and the ability for net zero technology start-ups to join the unicorn club will be depleted. Australia could also fall short of its emissions reduction goals.
