AUSMIN gives US forces a bigger nod
Australia is now being asked to pull more of its weight in the alliance and be integrated into US war planning for a possible conflict in Asia.
The tragic loss of the four air crew feared dead in the helicopter crash off the Queensland coast underscores the risk that all the men and women who serve in Australia’s military take to help maintain the sovereignty and freedom that all Australians enjoy.
The tragedy has coincided with Australia’s military being expected to do more to help maintain peace and stability in Asia and help manage an assertive China.
