Only the beast of events will dictate the direction America takes through the next presidential term.

Regardless of whether it is Kamala Harris or Donald Trump, American globalism is not in retreat, but its meaning will continue to change. And Washington, while ever preoccupied with internal crises and challenges, cannot attempt to build a new order to replace the one it constructed after the Second World War.
