Wind farm companies have been ‘arrogant’: Holmes a Court

Climate activist Simon Holmes a Court has backed complaints by teal independents about the rollout of renewables in regional areas, accusing wind energy companies of showing arrogance towards local communities.

Holmes a Court – whose Climate 200 campaign group provides funding to independent political candidates who back greater action on reducing emissions – said many companies working on the rollout of large-scale wind power had not adequately consulted local communities where the projects were being built.
