US climate rules just gave you another reason to work from home
New climate disclosure rules in the US look set to include the emissions generated by employees when they commute to work, opening another flank in the culture war over work from home.
The carbon footprint of commuting employees was listed by the US Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) as a factor that companies “might” want to include when reporting “Scope 3″ emissions data under the new disclosure regime proposed by the SEC this month.
