Renewables lobby leaderless after long-serving boss quits

Australia’s top renewables advocacy group is searching for a new leader after long-serving Clean Energy Council chief executive Kane Thornton announced he will leave the organisation in August.

Thornton has been at the helm of the industry’s top clean energy lobby group for more than a decade, but has attracted criticism from some renewables insiders for the quality of the council’s recent advocacy.
