More than 10,000 people have converged on the Mediterranean coast this week, including French President Emmanuel Macron and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to talk about oceans protection.

Legendary environmentalist David Attenborough has also joined discussions amidst the release of his new film, Ocean with David Attenborough, which hits hard on the “unspeakably awful” damage wreaking havoc on the world’s open oceans.
