In an EV-first world, can e-fuels drive the decarbonisation of transport?

HIF Global is just one of the businesses betting big on green tech to provide a viable alternative to electric vehicles.

HIF Global, a synthetic e-fuels company, doesn’t think small. It wants to revolutionise the global market for transport fuel, challenging the view of a future driven primarily by electrification.

Its vision is to instead use renewable energy to produce a synthetic or electro version of methanol, petrol, diesel or jet fuel as a “drop-in fuel” that can be used in internal combustion engine vehicles as well as existing ships and planes.
