Alinta Energy CEO Jeff Dimery says Australia should consider spending less on defence and putting the savings into accelerating the clean energy transition to “save the planet”.

Mr Dimery said he did not believe the US and China were going to war and the exaggerated security threat was preventing the global collaboration needed to successfully shift to clean energy and prevent a climate crisis.
