The findings of the strangely named Independent Media Council – which is funded by Seven West Media – raises critical questions as to the conflicts of interest for Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas and his media employer, Seven West (“Paper ‘unfair’ to mayor rival”).
Like many local government representatives, Zempilas may well have political aspirations beyond the third level of government.
