SA credits renewable investment with keeping power prices low

South Australian Treasurer Stephen Mullighan said heavy investment in renewable energy over the past few years has put the state in a better position to withstand soaring power prices sweeping the rest of the country.

Mr Mullighan said SA’s push into renewable energy, which included the Tesla big storage battery near Jamestown (after a Twitter bet between billionaires Mike Cannon-Brookes and Elon Musk) would help the state keep power prices lower than the eastern states.
