Technology billionaire and renewable energy advocate Mike Cannon-Brookes says Australia should be a big winner from the decarbonisation shift sweeping the globe, but the nation needs to move much faster to take advantage of all the opportunities.

Mr Cannon-Brookes, the co-founder of software technology giant Atlassian and a big investor in a string of renewable energy projects, says Australia has all the natural attributes but isn’t yet harnessing them properly, in part because of backward-looking federal government policies.
