SA aims to poach from interstate as stimulus doubles to $4b

South Australian Premier Steven Marshall wants to lure more businesses from interstate to help bolster the state's economy as he doubles a state-based stimulus package to $4 billion.

The extra stimulus measures will be contained in Tuesday's state budget with a heavy focus on a near $1 billion "tradies'' package for infrastructure and community projects that can be completed in the next two years in a push to underpin the building and construction sectors.
