It’s been quite the week in Canberra. Parliament House was buzzing during the last sitting of the year and, after some dizzying U-turns and rapid-fire deal making, Labor rammed 31 bills through the Senate on Thursday. Over the year, Labor has passed 142 bills, which is in line with the average since Federation.
The Albanese government has finally got its legislative agenda back on track just months out from the next election. It’s a big morale booster for the party as MPs head home.
