A proposal for vaccine passports would allow greater freedoms for vaccinated Australians including allowing access to restaurants, bars, sport, concerts and travel, under a plan to be presented to national cabinet on Friday.

A national cabinet subcommittee led by Victoria, the Northern Territory and Tasmania is drafting  the proposal, which is expected to leverage COVID-19 digital vaccination certificates already available on mobile devices through Apple Wallet and Google Pay.
