Shadow treasurer Ted O’Brien has appointed economist Steven Hamilton as his chief of staff and top economic policy adviser.
Hamilton is a former federal Treasury official specialising in tax and budget policy, and has been an outspoken public critic of Labor Treasurer Jim Chalmers.
