Melbourne-based mental health recruiter Rachel Perkins has never been busier as cost-of-living pressures and the lingering effects of COVID-19 lockdowns take a toll on people’s wellbeing.

The general manager of New View Psychology said recruitment of mental health clinicians including psychologists, social workers and counsellors had increased by more than 70 per cent to about 170 people in the past year.
