Australia's unemployment rate dropped to 6.8 per cent in August after the economy gained 111,000 new jobs despite Victoria's second COVID-19 lockdown.
Full-time employment increased 36,200 to 8.58 million people and part-time employment increased 74,800 to 3.99 million people.
