Husic’s corporate tax call revives Hawke-Keating Labor spirit

Rather than have his office tersely rebuke his cabinet colleague for comments made at the Summit, the treasurer should now start making the pro-business and pro-worker case for corporate tax reform.

But the Summit took an unexpected turn when Labor’s Industry Minister, Ed Husic, put on the agenda the need for lower company taxes to help businesses free up capital and drive investment in AI technologies.
