If ever there was a federal budget where so many economic imperatives seemed to converge into one – this was it, said JP Morgan chief economist Sally Auld.
For the first time in a while, fiscal policy has now shifted to a more stimulatory setting and comes at the "right time" given conventional monetary policy is losing its power.
