Dan van Holst Pellekaan, a former National Basketball League player, has risen to great heights in his adopted state of South Australia in politics, but will not say if he aspires to an even bigger role in the Liberal Party after the state election on March 19.

The Liberal government’s Deputy Premier and Energy and Mining Minister in SA, is quick to trash what he refers to as the “experimental” $593 million government-owned hydrogen plant and the broader investment package put forward by Labor leader Peter Malinauskas as one of the centrepieces of Labor’s economic growth plans.
