Dutton’s ‘aspiration’ to end tax bracket creep is too little, too late
The opposition leader’s eleventh-hour ambition to some time in the future automatically adjust the income tax scales in line with inflation is a worthy idea but comes too late.
If Peter Dutton had committed months ago to ending income tax bracket creep by indexing the tax scales, he would have given himself a better shot at winning the election.
