It’s clear that the federal Coalition is still not taking climate change seriously (“Coalition to kill climate reporting”). Why else would it be promising to scrap Labor’s 42 per cent emissions reduction target and 82 per cent renewables target for the electricity grid?
Nationals senator Matt Canavan belled the cat when he said nuclear power is just a “political fix” for the Coalition so it can avoid taking action any time soon.
