With a full bandage on the Greek debt replacing the bandaids that previously failed to cover the wound, traders had some relief this week from uncertainty, allowing them to draw solid gains from trading in the euro and the subsequent rallies in equity markets.
Stan Shamu, research analyst at trader advisory group Australian Stock Report, says the strong leads from overseas markets, including a kick up in United States shares as the reporting season started on a positive note, gave both banks and the mining sector a boost.
