The former chairman of scandal-hit technology group WiseTech says too many Australian institutional investors, including the large superannuation funds, are asking boards to reconcile conflicting advice provided by their investment and ESG teams and failing to “communicate with one voice” on crucial shareholder issues.
Richard Dammery and three other independent directors stepped down from the board of WiseTech in February citing “differing views around the ongoing role of the founder and founding CEO, Richard White”.
