ASX to slip, Wall St stumbles late, Tesla gets Goldman lift
Australian shares are poised to open lower after a late sell-off in New York pushed the S&P 500 into negative territory. The selling was attributed to a report that Pfizer will struggle to meet demand for its vaccine.
ASX futures were down 7 points to 6611 near 8am AEDT, reversing earlier gains. The currency advanced as high as US74.50¢; the Bloomberg dollar spot index slid another 0.5 per cent. The yield on the US 10-year note drifted 2 basis points lower to 0.91 per cent.
