Fixing governance is more than just shareholder value: Snowcap
Activist investment firm Snowcap partner Henry Kinnersley believes fixing corporate finance focusing on ESG issues will create an opportunity for activists to showcase their value beyond financial returns.
“We want this company to (say) we want to fix their corporate governance role. If it believes the share price could go up and make money,” Kinnersley says to delegates at the Alpha Live Summit.
“We believe in the process of that if this business is going to be better for its employees and it’s going to be better for the environment and it’s going to bring a ton of positive externalities.”
“Fixing governance is about more than just shareholder value. It’s about stakeholder value, so we’re going to see it as a potential mega trend of activism.”
