ASX rally to stall in 2026 as super funds shun Aussie shares

The record run for the Australian sharemarket is expected to stall in 2026 as the country’s largest superannuation funds stop pouring money onto the ASX in favour of cheaper offshore markets.

MST Marquee has forecast the S&P/ASX 200 Index to finish next year at 8600 points, around the benchmark’s current level as the slowdown in super money triggers a pullback in the lofty valuations.
