Woodside’s new energy aspirations take $3.7b twist

While the likes of Air NZ drop climate targets, gas producer Woodside Energy is sticking to the scope three emissions goals that caused a storm in April.

If it is lower-returning non-oil and gas investments and a faster transitioning portfolio that Woodside Energy shareholders want, then that’s exactly what they are going to get.

The board got that message loud and clear from April’s climate transition action plan kerfuffle.
