Home prices tipped to defy rising rates

Another interest rate rise in the coming months would curb house price growth in the near term, but is unlikely to derail the broader market upswing, experts say.
The mismatch between housing supply and demand will continue to insulate the market from the combined effect of high interest rates, cost-of-living pressures and pessimistic consumers, according to CoreLogic’s research director Tim Lawless.
