DP World shuts down ports after hack

Major ports operator DP World Australia has shut down its terminals around the country as it works to contain a “cybersecurity incident” that is likely to disrupt the movement of goods for days.
The stevedore, which manages container terminals in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Fremantle, is understood to have detected an intrusion into its system on Friday morning and made the decision to close the ports at 5pm that afternoon.
