GPT lands new CEO, snagging Charter Hall’s chief financial officer
ASX-listed property fund manager GPT Group has ended its long-running search for a new chief executive to replace outgoing Bob Johnston by snaring Russell Proutt, who has resigned as chief financial officer at rival Charter Hall for the new role.
A 30-year veteran of the property, finance and investment banking sectors, Mr Proutt was at Brookfield Asset management for 12 years as a managing partner in Canada then Australia, before joining Charter Hall in 2017. Charter Hall has launched its own search for a new CFO to replace Mr Proutt.
