San Francisco | Google owner Alphabet on Monday (Tuesday AEDT) said it will launch a chatbot service and more artificial intelligence (AI) for its search engine as well as developers, an answer to Microsoft in their rivalry to lead a new wave of computing.
The news from Alphabet came as China’s Baidu said it would complete internal testing of a ChatGPT-style project called “Ernie Bot” in March, joining the global race as interest in so-called generative AI gathers steam.
