Is hatred of Britain and America why Keating despises AUKUS?
A strategic posture based on dislike of Britain and America is not the way to maintain the Indo-Pacific balance of power and engage with China without becoming a client state.

De Valera was the prime minister of Ireland during the Second World War whose hatred of the British led Ireland to adopt a position of strict neutrality between the Nazis and the liberal democracies.
