Canva founders Melanie Perkins and Cliff Obrecht are among the 10 wealthiest Australians after the graphic design software company hit a valuation of $US15 billion ($19.6 billion) after a fresh $US71 million fundraising.

The married couple, who together with co-founder Cameron Adams have accomplished the rare feat of keeping a controlling stake in their nine-year-old start-up across 13 rounds of funding, are set for a valuation of $7.98 billion on the Financial Review Rich List when it is published on May 28.
