The Biden administration is nudging Canberra to ramp up its climate change campaign, with the President’s special envoy, John Kerry, lamenting Australia’s recent history of undermining global efforts to speed up decarbonisation.
Mr Kerry, the former secretary of state tapped by Mr Biden to spearhead his diplomatic full-court press on climate action, acknowledged publicly at the weekend for the first time the differences with Canberra on how to proceed.
