London | Former finance minister Mathias Cormann has inched closer to snaring the top job at the rich nations’ policymaking club, the Paris-based Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.
On Wednesday, a painstaking five-month process of culling the initial field of 10 contenders to become OECD secretary-general took another step forward, as a Danish candidate was eliminated - leaving Mr Cormann one of the last four standing.
