Stone & Wood owner Fermentum eyes craft beer IPO

The parent company of a string of craft beer brands, including Stone & Wood and a seltzer named Sunly that competes in the fast-growing “healthy alcohol” segment, is investigating a potential listing on the ASX to help fund expansion.

Jamie Cook, chairman and one of the co-founders of Fermentum, said the group’s sales had rebounded after being hit by hospitality shutdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic and is now assessing the best way to fund a $50 million new brewery project at Murwillumbah in northern NSW.
